In School Programs Grades K-2

Think Twice to Be Nice is a wonderful introduction to Caring Kids.  Caring Kids believes that we should always treat people the way we want to be treated, with caring, kindness, and respect.  It is the cornerstone of each and every program we present.  In our Think Twice to Be Nice Programs, this philosophy is introduced and explored using the social situations that our young students navigate everyday.  By using a variety of mediums, the children are entertained, engaged, and educated.  Many of our programs require parent participation.  If you are interested, please contact your building rep or email us at caringkidsmillburn@gmail.com.

Kindergarten

The Think Twice to Be Nice Kindergarten Program is the very first introduction to Caring Kids for our youngest students.  Its purpose is to help our children be kind, caring, and respectful participants in their brand new school community.  The first part of the program is a short puppet skit about sharing and caring on the playground.  In the second part of our program, the students get to interact with our puppets as they learn how to navigate their way through other social situations.

First Grade

The Think Twice to Be Nice Program demonstrates how to be a caring kid, no matter what situation you find yourself in.  The first part of our program is a short puppet skit about a misunderstanding that happens on the playground.  The puppets discuss what it means to “think twice to be nice” and what it means to be a good friend.  The second part of our program is an interactive activity and discussion with the class.  The students are shown large, colorful pictures illustrating a variety of everyday social situations and asked what would be the “think twice to be nice” response in those situations.   This program is a wonderful introduction to the Caring Kids philosophy of treating people the way you want to be treated, with caring, kindness, and respect.

Second Grade

The Think Twice to Be Nice theme continues in second grade by demonstrating how to be a caring kid, no matter what situation you find yourself in.  The first part of our program is a short puppet skit about a situation that happens on the school bus and is explained from the point of view of the bystander.  The puppets discuss what it means to be an “upstander” and how to help a friend in need.  The second part of our program is the THINK TWICE TO BE NICE GAMESHOW!!!  The class is presented with everyday social situations and given several choices of the most caring kid way to respond.  The incorrect choices are exaggerated for effect.  The correct choice is the “think twice to be nice answer.” The overall message of the program is to treat people the way you want to be treated, with caring, kindness, and respect.
